Self-Publishing: A limited how-to series

When I parted ways from my previous position as Senior Creative Technologist (working at an ad-server), it was at the tail end of a 20 year career working full-time as a programmer, and part-time as a teacher. Aside from a few technical highlights, some of my fondest memories come from teaching or relaying information in a digestible way.

I’ve been exploring ways to make that more of my focus going forward. My primary focus has been understating how the process of publishing print on demand and ebooks functions. Sharing information with other people often offers the best results from a book.

Working as a small independent publisher is an ongoing learning process, but I can share with you a few key ideas as to how you might approach a self-published project. Wanting to show more examples of my work explaining how things work, why not spend some time focusing on the process of writing and publishing your own work?

The next few articles will cover writing, editing, creating, and publishing your independent work, along with some of the tools I enjoy using. I’ll also share my process to create a self-published work.
